One honest note about how it works: unlike the rest of our tools, a video downloader can't run entirely in your browser — Instagram and TikTok block direct access, so the link you paste is sent to our server, which fetches the video and hands it back to you. We don't store your links or the videos.

The downloader works with public Instagram reels and TikTok videos. If a post is private, age-restricted, or requires you to be logged in, it can't be fetched — that content isn't publicly accessible, and the tool doesn't bypass logins or privacy settings. For TikTok the success rate is very high; for Instagram, public reels usually work, though Instagram changes its site often, so the occasional link may fail.

When you download, the file is the original video the platform serves, returned to you as an MP4. For TikTok we request the no-watermark rendition where available. Nothing you paste is saved on our side — the link is used once to fetch the video and then discarded.

Respect each platform's terms of service and the original creator's copyright: saving your own content or content you have permission to use is fine, but re-uploading someone else's video as your own is not.
